Richard Hocker

Founder, Chief Investment Officer & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Hocker founded Penn Capital in 1987 and serves as Chief Investment Officer & Chief Executive Officer, guiding overall portfolio strategy.  His investing and institutional non-investment grade corporate lending experience spans over forty years. While serving as a Partner for Delaware Investment Advisors (DIA) from 1977 to 1987, he was responsible for building the investment side of DIA’s fixed income operation.  During this period, Mr. Hocker developed and managed one of the nation’s first high yield mutual funds, the Delchester High Yield Bond Fund. He also served as the first high yield bond manager for several institutional clients including General Motors, State of Vermont Teachers Retirement Association, and Colorado Fire and Police.  Prior to DIA, Mr. Hocker trained as a corporate lender and supported key senior lenders at Provident National Bank, which is now PNC, a top 20 US Banking institution.  He later rose to serve as head of the investment division.  Mr. Hocker also founded and served as CEO of Covenant Bank, a NJ based regional bank which grew to 16 branches and $500mm in deposits before being acquired by Wachovia Corporation in 1997.

He and his wife, Marcia Hocker, are the founders of the Ethel Mae Hocker Foundation. The Ethel Mae Hocker Foundation provides educational opportunities to less fortunate, deserving Greater Philadelphia-area elementary and high school students. Mr. Hocker received both his BS in accounting and MBA in finance from the Kogod School of Business at American University.

Peter J. Moran

Senior Partner, Executive Vice President, Global Distribution

Mr. Moran joined Penn Capital in 2016 and is responsible for oversight of the firm’s marketing and client service functions as well as the firm’s intermediary and institutional distribution channels.  He also serves as Chairman of the Product Management Committee, charged with overseeing the firm’s product development as well as serving on the firm’s Executive Committee which drives overall strategy and management of the firm.

Mr. Moran brings over 25 years of financial services experience covering asset management, brokerage, banking and insurance for both foreign and domestic firms. He has worked for Pacific Financial, the holding company of PIMCO, Pacific Life, Montgomery Asset Management, J P Morgan Investment Management and Turner Investment Partners. Mr. Moran was President of Constellation Funds Group and founding partner of BHR Fund Advisors which was acquired by Dundee Wealth of Toronto, Canada. In 2014, he began consulting for various asset management companies with a focus on institutional, foreign and alternative firms.

During his career, Mr. Moran has led six different mutual fund groups to industry leading sales and AUM growth. His expertise covers a broad array of topics including building mutual funds, structuring fund adoptions, liquid alternatives, and defined contribution channels. He was an early advocate of the RIA and sub-advisory distribution channels for institutional focused investment management firms. Mr. Moran has been a frequent industry speaker and has written about trends affecting the US mutual fund industry.

Mr. Moran is a graduate of the University of Richmond with a degree in Economics.

Eric Green, CFA

Senior Managing Partner, Director of Research, Senior Portfolio Manager

Mr. Green began his career at Penn Capital in July 1997. As Director of Research, Mr. Green is responsible for guiding the firm’s day-to-day investment research process. He also serves as the Portfolio Manager for Penn Capital’s Small Cap and Mid Cap equity strategies and chairs Penn Capital’s Equity Strategy Committee. He is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee which drives overall strategy and management of the firm.

Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Green gained experience with the Federal National Mortgage Association, the Royal Bank of Scotland, and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission where he served as a financial analyst in the Division of Investment Management. Mr. Green is also Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), Mid-Atlantic Region and Co-Chairman of the ADL's 2018 Walk Against Hate.

He received a BSBA, Cum Laude, from American University and received an MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Scott Schumacher

Senior Managing Partner, Senior Portfolio Manager

Mr. Schumacher began his career with Penn Capital in 1987. He is responsible for global oversight of all Equity and High Yield trading as well as portfolio administration. Mr. Schumacher is a member of the firm’s Credit Strategy Committee and the firm’s Executive Committee which drives overall strategy and management of the firm. He received a BS in Accounting from Rutgers University.

J. Paulo Silva, CFA

Senior Managing Partner, Senior Portfolio Manager

Mr. Silva began his career with Penn Capital in 2002 as a research analyst focused on technology and industrial companies. Today, he serves as the portfolio manager for Penn Capital’s Micro Cap equity strategy. As a member of the Equity Strategy Committee, Mr. Silva works closely with the equity portfolio management team to contribute ideas specifically in the micro to mid-capitalization range. He is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee which drives overall strategy and management of the firm. In addition, Mr. Silva has focused on several distressed debt situations, successfully completing a reorganization through serving on the official committee of creditors. Beyond Penn Capital, Mr. Silva serves on the Investment Committee of the Valley Forge Military Academy. He received a BS in Civil Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from Tufts University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Peter Duffy, CFA

Senior Partner, Senior Portfolio Manager

Mr. Duffy began his career with Penn Capital in 2006. Mr. Duffy serves as the portfolio manager for Penn Capital’s Defensive High Yield, Defensive Short Duration High Yield and Double-B High Yield strategies.  He also chairs the firm’s Credit Strategy Committee. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Duffy was a Director for Deutsche Asset Management’s top-decile $5 billion global high yield debt team, and his investment experience included both leveraged loans and emerging markets debt. Previously, he worked on mergers & acquisitions at GE Capital and as a management consultant at Arthur Andersen LLP. He received a BS in Finance, Summa Cum Laude, from Villanova University and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Martin Smith

Senior Partner, Senior Portfolio Manager

Mr. Smith began his career with Penn Capital in July 1999 and currently serves as the portfolio manager for Penn Capital’s Opportunistic High Yield Fixed Income strategy. He began his investment career in small cap equity research with Cantone Research, Inc., an independent equity research firm.  Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Smith served as a high yield analyst with Merrill Lynch Asset Management.  Mr. Smith received his BBA in Finance from Pace University and an MBA from Rutgers University.

Joseph Maguire, CFA

Senior Partner, Senior Portfolio Manager

Mr. Maguire began his career with Penn Capital in January 2005.  He currently serves as a co-portfolio manager for Penn Capital’s Convertible strategy and is the portfolio manager for Penn Capital’s Small to Mid Cap Equity strategy. Prior to joining Penn Capital, he served as a senior audit associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and conducted private equity research for AMS Inc.  During graduate school, Mr. Maguire interned with Penn Capital’s investment team.  Mr. Maguire received a BBA in Accounting from The College of William & Mary and a MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

David Jackson, CFA

Senior Partner, Senior Portfolio Manager

Mr. Jackson began his career with Penn Capital in 2008. Mr. Jackson currently serves as the portfolio manager for the Penn Capital’s Senior Floating Rate Loan strategy and co-portfolio manager for the firm’s Opportunistic High Yield strategy. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Jackson was an Associate Director with the Financial Institutions Group at Fitch Ratings in New York City, where he assisted with rating coverage of the specialty finance sector.  He also gained experience working for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia on the bank supervision and regulation team. He received a BS in Finance from Rutgers University School of Business. 

Steven Civera, CFA

Senior Partner, Portfolio Manager

Mr. Civera began his career with Penn Capital in 2010. His primary area of sector coverage is the Technology sector. He also serves as co-portfolio manager for the firm’s Convertible strategy. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Civera was a Research Analyst for AlphaOne Capital Partners where he covered Technology and Renewable Energy. He also gained experience working for the Center for Financial Research and Analysis, a forensic accounting research firm, as well as an Analyst for Global Capital Management. He received a BSBA in Accounting from Bucknell University, an MBA from Loyola College in Maryland.

Jason Detzi

Senior Partner, Senior Research Analyst

Mr. Detzi began his career at Penn Capital in 2006. His primary areas of sector coverage are the Energy and Industrials sectors. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Detzi was an independent floor trader and managing partner of a proprietary trading firm, trading equity and index options on both the CBOE and American Stock Exchange. Previously, Mr. Detzi was a market maker for The Timber Hill Group LLC, a subsidiary of The Interactive Brokers Group, trading equity derivatives, index options, and futures. He received a BS in Finance from Rutgers University.

Christopher Paciello, CFA

Partner, Senior Research Analyst

Mr. Paciello began his career with Penn Capital in 2012. His primary areas of sector coverage are the Consumer Discretionary and Telecommunications sectors. He has over 13 years' experience working in the financial markets with a focus on high yield and distressed securities. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Paciello was a Research Analyst at Standish Asset Management focused on high yield and distressed securities within the cable media, telecommunications, paper and packaging, and healthcare sectors. He also gained experience working for Gartmore Global Investments as a Research Analyst focused on high yield and distressed securities, and W.R. Huff Asset Management, an asset manager specializing in high yield securities, as a trader and an analyst focused on high yield and equity securities. Mr. Paciello received a BS from Babson College and an MBA from Villanova University.

Howard Bryerman, CFA

Partner, Senior Research Analyst

Mr. Bryerman began his career with Penn Capital in 2013. His primary areas of sector coverage are the Consumer Discretionary and Materials sectors. Mr. Bryerman had 20 years’ experience as an investment professional specializing in high yield bonds, senior floating rate loans and distressed securities. Prior to joining Penn Capital, he most recently was a Managing Director at Penn Mutual Insurance where he managed the firm’s high yield bond investment portfolio. Prior to joining Penn Mutual Insurance, he was a Director and Senior Analyst for Wells Fargo Asset Management’s (Evergreen Investments) $3.5 billion high yield funds and for Deutsche Asset Management’s $5 billion global high yield funds. He also gained experience as a Senior Analyst for Bank of New York Capital Markets and a Senior Manager in Grant Thornton’s Bankruptcy and Reorganization practice. Mr. Bryerman received a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut, and a MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern Graduate School of Business.

Richard Simons, CFA

Senior Partner, Senior Research Analyst

Mr. Simons began his career with Penn Capital in 2013. His primary area of sector coverage is Healthcare. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Simons held positions as a portfolio manager and analyst for Turner Investments and served as an analyst at Tryphon Capital Advisers, covering the Healthcare sector at both firms. He received a BS in Biophysics from The State University of New York at Geneseo and a Masters of Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Chad Bolen, CFA

Senior Partner, Senior Research Analyst

Mr. Bolen began his career with Penn Capital in 2013 and has nearly 18 years’ experience working in the financial markets with the past 12 years focused on equity research. His primary areas of sector coverage are the Consumer Discretionary and Staples sectors. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Bolen was a Senior Equity Research Associate at Raymond James Financial in St. Petersburg, FL covering the Consumer sector. He also gained experience working for Morgan Stanley in Clearwater, FL as a Financial Advisor. He received a BA in Organizational Behavior and Management from Brown University.

Suhail Chandy, CFA

Senior Partner, Senior Research Analyst

Mr. Chandy began his career with Penn Capital in 2013. His primary areas of sector coverage are the Financials and Technology sectors. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Chandy was a Vice President at Adelante Capital Management, where he was a member of the investment committee. He also served as a Senior Analyst covering Telecom Infrastructure at Wedbush Securities as well as holding various positions in equity research at Jefferies and at Cowen and Company. His industry experience includes roles in corporate finance, supply chain management, pricing, investment analysis, and software engineering in India, Japan, Singapore and the US Mr. Chandy received a B. Tech from Sri Venkateswara University, a PGDM from IIM and an MBA from Yale University.

Randall Braunfeld

Partner, Senior Research Analyst

Mr. Braunfeld began his career with Penn Capital in 2015. His primary area of sector coverage is the Utilities sector. He is also the Senior Research Analyst for Penn Capital’s Senior Floating Rate Loan strategy. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Braunfeld was a portfolio manager of a High Yield BB rated Bond Portfolio for First Niagara Bank. He also gained experience working at Lehman Brothers within its high yield loan portfolio group from 2004 - 2011. Following Lehman’s bankruptcy filing, he remained at the firm to focus on maximizing recovery values of the loan portfolio. Mr. Braunfeld received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and has a MA in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis International Business School.

Bradley D. Tesoriero, CFA

Partner, Senior Research Analyst

Mr. Tesoriero began his career with Penn Capital in 2015. His primary areas of sector coverage are the Industrials and Materials sectors. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Tesoriero was a Research Associate at CRT Capital focusing on distressed debt, equity and high yield research for the Media and Telecommunications sectors. He also gained experience in various working at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Janney Montgomery Scott. Mr. Tesoriero received a BA from Cornell University, an MBA from The University of Richmond, Robins School of Business, and a JD, Cum Laude, from the University of Richmond, TC Williams School of Law.

Stacey Kerelska

Partner, Research Analyst

Ms. Kerelska began her career with Penn Capital in 2017. Her primary areas of sector coverage are Metals & Mining, Chemicals, Airlines, Shipping, and Building Materials. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Ms. Kerelska served as an Associate Director at UBS AG focusing on the Aerospace & Defense, Airlines & Aircraft Leasing. She also gained experience as a Senior Research Associate at Macquarie Group focusing on Metals & Mining, Enso Capital Management (NY), Investcorp International (NY), and Nobel Advisors Ltd. in her native Bulgaria. Ms. Kerelska received a BA Economics and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Maine and an MBA in Statistics and Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Matthew Bogdan

Quantitative Research Analyst

Mr. Bogdan began his career at Penn Capital in 2016. He currently provides quantitative research and analytics for all of Penn Capital’s Credit and Equity strategies. Prior to joining Penn Capital, he was a Credit Analyst at FS Investments focused on the firm’s Investment Corporation III Fund. Earlier in his career Mr. Bogdan held various Quantitative Research roles at Forefront Analytics and Deutsche Bank. He holds a BS in Finance from the University of North Carolina and is a CFA Level III candidate.

Heather Nolan

Director of Client Service and Platform Relationship Management

Ms. Nolan began her career at Penn Capital in 2016 as Senior Client Service Director focusing on Institutional Client Service. Ms. Nolan has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry including institutional client service and consultant relationship management, investment manager research, and sales support roles.  Prior to joining Penn Capital, Ms. Nolan spent nine years at CBRE Clarion Securities LLC most recently as Assistant Vice President, Global Marketing and Client Service/Institutional Investor Relations. Prior to her tenure at Clarion, she held positions at AMG Funds (formerly Managers Investment Group), Rorer Asset Management, Glenmede Trust and Wilmington Trust. Ms. Nolan received a BS in Business Administration and an MBA in Finance from the University of Delaware. She holds FINRA Series 6, 7 and 63 securities licenses.

Christopher Parris

Senior Relationship Management Associate

Mr. Parris began his career at Penn Capital in 2014 as a Business Operations Associate with a focus on working with intermediary platform sponsors and financial advisors to support the firm’s managed account relationships.  In 2017, Mr. Parris was promoted to the position of Senior Relationship Management Associate.  In this role, his primary responsibilities include supporting the firm’s institutional client and consultant relationship management practices.

Prior to joining Penn Capital, he was a consultant for Client Server Specialists, Inc. Mr. Parris earned a BS in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, from Slippery Rock University.

Stephen Loizeaux

Senior Partner, Director of Institutional Business Development

Mr. Loizeaux began his career at Penn Capital in 2008. He is responsible for marketing to plan sponsors, national/regional consultants and servicing institutional clients in the Southeastern US. Mr. Loizeaux has over 31 years of experience in institutional money management sales and client service. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Loizeaux served as a Vice President of Institutional Sales & Client Service with Prudential Investment Management - Fixed Income and Quantitative Management Associates. He received a BS in Accounting and Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.

Steven Leming

Director of Institutional Business Development

Mr. Leming began his career with Penn Capital in 2011. He is responsible for marketing to national/regional consulting firms and institutional investors throughout the US and managing relationships with the firm’s institutional clients. Mr. Leming has over 20 years of experience in financial services including more than 15 years of experience in institutional asset management client servicing and sales. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Leming served as a Vice President in the Global Client Group at BlackRock, where he was responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors. He received an MBA from Villanova University and a BS in Business Administration and Finance from Albright College. Mr. Leming holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.

Tom Larson

Director of Institutional Business Development

Mr. Larson began his career at Penn Capital in 2016 and focuses on business development efforts in the Western Region of the United States. He brings extensive experience in leveraged finance, sales, marketing, and management to Penn Capital. Over the past fifteen years, Mr. Larson has focused his talents on financing and managing start-up companies, securing funding through accredited investors and improving performance. His industry expertise includes software and services, manufacturing, and Business Process Outsourcing. Mr. Larson has provided consulting regarding Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and sales force peak performance. He holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 securities licenses.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Larson earned his MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia. He is currently the President of the Board of Directors for Harbor WildWatch, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that promotes environmental science education regarding the Puget Sound in Washington state.
 

Michele Distel

National Accounts Director

Ms. Distel joined Penn Capital as a Business Development Specialist in 2016 assisting with internal, external and national accounts business development and sales initiatives. Ms. Distel has over 10 years’ experience in business development and sales, and began her career working in both the annuities and mutual fund groups at Hartford Financial Services/PLANCO. Immediately prior to joining Penn Capital, she was a Financial Intermediaries Manager at AMG Funds. Ms. Distel received a BS in Finance with a concentration in International Business from Philadelphia University. She holds FINRA Series 24, 7, 6 and 63 securities licenses.

Gary Cutler

Senior Business Development Associate

Mr. Cutler began his career with Penn Capital in 2016 with a focus on client service and business development in the United States, Europe and Australia. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Cutler spent 11 years at J.P. Morgan Asset Management most recently leading the Financial Intermediary Client Service team focusing on banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, and electronic trading platforms. He began his career at J.P. Morgan working in client service, focusing on internal hedge funds. Previously Mr. Cutler worked for NeoVest Trading, a broker/dealer in Atlanta. Mr. Cutler received a BBA from Georgia State University and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.

David Jordan

Marketing Product Director

Mr. Jordan began his career at Penn Capital in 2016 as a Marketing Product Director and is responsible for managing the production of the firm’s marketing materials. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Jordan spent 17 years at Delaware Investments in various roles and upon his departure held the position of Assistant Vice President, Product Manager focusing on multi-asset, domestic and international equity products. Mr. Jordan received a BS in Business Management from West Chester University and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.

Emily Stahlberger

Senior Marketing Associate

Ms. Stahlberger joined Penn Capital in 2017 and is responsible for the creation and production of the firm’s marketing materials. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Ms. Stahlberger was a credit analyst at Republic Bank. She holds a BA in Economics from Rowan University and holds a Certificate in Digital Media for Print & Web from Moore College of Art.

Marcia Hocker

President

Mrs. Hocker serves as President of Penn Capital Management. Mrs. Hocker’s responsibilities include overseeing the firm’s accounting and financial controls, human resources, and long-term business strategy. She also serves on the firm’s Executive Committee which drives overall strategy and management of the firm. Prior to founding Penn Capital, Mrs. Hocker was involved in establishing and managing several businesses in the financial, retail, and service industries. Mrs. Hocker served on the Board of Directors of a $500 million community bank that was acquired in 1995. Mrs. Hocker co-founded the Ethel Mae Hocker Foundation which provides scholarship opportunities to students who have demonstrated leadership abilities, academic success, commitment to the community and need financial support. Mrs. Hocker graduated from Strayer University.

Gerald McBride, CPA

Senior Partner, Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer

Mr. McBride began his career with Penn Capital as Chief Financial Officer in 2007. He was named Chief Operating Officer in 2013. Mr. McBride has over twenty years of operational and managerial experience including serving as a Vice President and Controller with the NCO Group, Inc., a leading global provider of business process outsourcing solutions. Previously, he was with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for twelve years, with a primary focus on middle market growth companies. Mr. McBride is responsible for the oversight of the Penn Capital’s finance, operations, technology, and administration functions and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee which drives overall strategy and management of the firm. He received a BA in Accounting from Rutgers University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Robert McLaughlin, CFA

Senior Partner, Director of Operations

Mr. McLaughlin joined Penn Capital in 2011 as Operations Manager. He currently serves as Director of Operations with responsibility for overseeing the firm’s middle-to-back office processes, client reporting and client service functions. Mr. McLaughlin has over 15 years of experience in the investment management industry and prior to joining Penn Capital was a Director with Evergreen Investments’ Global High Yield team, serving as a Trader and Portfolio Analyst. Prior to Evergreen, he was a Director at Deutsche Asset Management, where he held various positions including Trader and Portfolio Analyst on the Global High Yield team and Performance Analyst in the Fund Administration group. He received a BS in Accounting from Villanova University and a MBA with a concentration in Finance from Widener University. Mr. McLaughlin also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Marty Keane

Senior Partner, Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Keane joined Penn Capital in 2009 as Vice President of Information Technology. He now serves as Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Keane has over 31 years of experience in the engineering and technology industries and holds numerous Information Technology industry certifications. Prior to joining Penn Capital, he was Vice President of Business Technology for Rittenhouse Financial Services and later, Vice President of Managed Assets Business Technology for Nuveen Investments. Mr. Keane’s focus was on developing the strategic vision and tactical application of technology. He’s been an active member of The Money Management Institute and has held various leadership positions within the Technology/Operations Committee. Mr. Keane received an AS in Electrical Engineering, a BS in Information Technology Management and Masters of Business Administration.

Lisa Matson, Esq.

Senior Partner, General Counsel

Ms. Matson joined Penn Capital in 2014 as the firm’s General Counsel. Previously, Ms. Matson was a senior counsel and assistant vice president with Lincoln Financial Group. Prior to Lincoln Financial she spent 10 years with The Vanguard Group, Inc. She began her legal career in private practice with the Philadelphia law firm Stradley, Ronon, Stevens & Young, LLP. Ms. Matson holds a BA with honors from Carleton College and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Linda R. Ridolfi

Partner, Chief Compliance Officer

Ms. Ridolfi joined Penn Capital as Chief Compliance Officer in 2016 and is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the firm’s Compliance program. Ms. Ridolfi has been involved in the Regulatory/Compliance field for 17 years and most recently served as President and Chief Compliance Officer for Lombard International Distribution Company (formerly, Philadelphia Financial). Throughout her career Ms. Ridolfi has served in a variety of regulatory and compliance roles at a compliance consulting firm, The Bank of New York Mellon, PFPC Inc. and began her career as a paralegal at the law firm Stradley, Ronon, Stevens & Young LLP. Ms. Ridolfi received a BA in Psychology and BS in Criminal Justice, both with honors, from New Mexico State University.

Bruce M. Reiprich, CPA

Controller

Mr. Reiprich joined Penn Capital as Manager of Corporate Accounting in 2014. Previously, Mr. Reiprich served as Senior Manager within PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Financial Services Assurance Practice primarily focusing on Investment Management and Insurance clients. He received a BS in Accounting and an MBA with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from Fairfield University. Mr. Reiprich is a Certified Public Accountant.

Donald J. Polis, Jr.

Manager of Operations

Mr. Polis joined Penn Capital in 2008 as a Portfolio Accountant. He currently serves as Manager of Business Operations. Mr. Polis devotes much of his time improving the firm’s operational workflows, with specific focus in the areas of trading, settlements, and middle to back office system platforms. His responsibilities include leveraged loan trade settlement and administration, vendor oversight, business analysis, and assisting in the management of daily firm operations. Mr. Polis received his BS in Business Studies with a concentration in Finance from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.

Ron Burke

Manager of Investment Services

Mr. Burke joined Penn Capital in 2007 as a Portfolio Accounting Supervisor. He has over 18 years of experience in the investment management industry and currently serves as Manager of Investment Services.  Prior to joining Penn Capital, he was a Financial Analyst for Ashbridge Investment Management and Portfolio Accounting Supervisor for Rittenhouse Financial Services.  Mr. Burke is responsible for the oversight of operational functions including portfolio accounting and account reconciliation.  He also focuses on performance reporting and ensuring compliance with the GIPS®.  Mr. Burke received a BS in Business Administration from Neumann University.

Jarrett Naiden

Investment Services Associate

Mr. Naiden began his career with Penn Capital in 2016. He is responsible for marketing to national/regional RIAs and family offices. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Naiden served as an Investment Specialist at Firstrust Financial Resources, where he was responsible for supporting the firm’s financial advisors in all aspects of client servicing efforts. He received a BS in Finance from Ithaca College, where he played football, and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.

Kyle Reap

Investment Services Associate

Mr. Reap began his career with Penn Capital in 2017. He is responsible for marketing to national/regional RIAs and family offices. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Reap served as an Institutional Consulting Associate with Morgan Stanley Graystone Consulting, where he was responsible for relationship management with institutional/HNW investors and manager research. Prior to his tenure at Graystone, he was a Relationship Manager for a multi family office located in New York. He received a BS in Finance from Temple University and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
